Creosote

My favorite desert plant, the creosote bush, with its bright yellow flowers and dark green stems is stunning to see in bloom, and also has a unique smell that permeates the desert briefly each year. Traditionally used as a medicinal plant as well, the creosote bush is well adapted to the harsh climate of the Sonoran Desert and an important part of the desert ecosystem.
